Well, they’re at it again! I listened to a bit of the Senate hearing yesterday with the attorney general. Once again both sides missed the most important fact that the Russians interfered with our last presidential election. Our intelligence agencies tell us that not only the Russians will try to interfere with our upcoming election, but other nations will as well. They range from the Iranians to the North Koreans. Very little is being done to prevent that interference. You can sort of see why the politicians would be arguing. The Democrats don’t like the president’s policies. On the Republican side as one of my Republican friends said, “It’s likely the Russians interference won the election for Trump because the election was so close.” The Democrats should want to do something to prevent further interference with our elections particularly if my Republican friend is correct and the interference won the election for the president. On the other hand, my Republican friends should want to stop any interference in our elections because the next time the interference could help the Democrats. The people who run for the Senate, on the whole, seem very smart, but there are times when it seems they can’t walk and chew gum at the same time. Stop bickering and find ways to stop foreign countries from interfering in our elections!
