The Debate

The Debate

Sharing is caring!

I tuned to the debate just after it started. President Biden was horrible. I remembered the Nixon Kennedy debate and how badly Nixon looked on the television. Television was rather new, so there were a lot of people who heard the debate on the radio. They thought Nixon won the debate while the television viewers thought Kennedy won the debate. There were apparently more television viewers than those that heard the debate on radio. It meant that more people thought Kennedy won the debate and that Nixon had lost it. Many people the time felt that was the reason Kennedy won the presidential campaign.

It was clear that Biden seemed unprepared, hesitance and very unpresidential at the beginning of the debate. My feeling at that moment was but it he lose the presidency. It is true as the debate went on Biden seemed to come alive. It was also clear that Trump was lying about his term as president, but Biden never fact checked that series of lies. All in all, I thought the debate was a sloppy mess. While Biden passed up chance after chance of pointing out the lies Trump was spewing, that seemed to embolden Trump to make even more lies. By the end of the debate, the whole exercise seems to be a waste of everyone’s time. It left me disgusted!
