Facebook danger

Facebook danger

Sharing is caring!

There is a dark side to Facebook that most people don’t know about. Everyone knows about the privacy problems but I’ve come across something that simply isn’t appropriate for children. Because I’m a writer, I maintain what’s called an author’s account using my writing name VC Angell. There is a high volume of traffic to that site and as of this morning I have almost 5000 friends. I understand they limit you to just 5000 friends! I was told by an agent to accept any friends requests I got. The problem comes with the messaging system. Every day I will get messages similar to this one and some even more explicit – because I can really understand what you want in bed and I can satisfy you well, find me on my website, check my biography. You can see why this is not appropriate for a child. The important thing is to make sure any child does not accept friends requests willy-nilly. I’m sure some of these messages, which are in fact ads, come from countries where prostitution is legal. They always include a link, as you can see from the sample, to a site with much more explicit language and photographs.

” I am a writer and as a writer, I do not neatly fit into any category. I have written magazine articles, feature news articles, restaurant reviews, a newspaper column, and several book length nonfiction projects aimed at people interested in particular health problems for foundations and companies. As to novels, I have published some Kindle novels.”
