You have to feel sorry for the government employees who are not being paid and some of them even have to work without being paid. It used to be that government jobs were soft and cushy, and there was nothing to worry about. Not so anymore! Not since the politicians got involved. I thought I heard a glimmer of hope in one of the new shows when a politician spoke about teamwork. I thought he might be referring to the legislators and the president working together as a team for the good of the country and getting the government working again. Unfortunately when he was referring to the team, it was just his party and the other team was the other party. He spoke about the importance of his team winning seemingly at any cost. It’s just another form of what I spoke about in the history of creating the current divide. Somehow in this legislator’s mind his team was fighting another team who was the enemy. Until the two sides recognize we are all Americans and work together as a team these fights will go on endlessly to the detriment of our country.
