Buried in research

Sharing is caring!

I thought I’d update you on what I have been doing this week. I have been researching laws passed by both parties, Democrat and Republican. I quickly realized I had to find a way to reduce what I was finding. I’ve never been rich, so I thought I would choose items that would help people and particularly help people in the middle class. That meant things like tax cuts would be positive for me. As a disabled veteran, I knew we had to protect our country too.

In most cases, that meant defense spending would benefit me. There were many things that I could not tell if they would or would not benefit me as a middle-class citizen. Take something like our communication laws. An example of that would be 5G. The amount of radio space, spectrum, we have is limited. That meant there would be winners and losers when 5G was implemented. There were tons of farming laws passed. It is hard to see how they would help or hurt.

That’s a quick round-up about what I’ve been doing. You can see that even when I find something, it can be difficult to determine if that helps or hurts me. I want to be thorough. I don’t want to hastily make judgments or being hasty missing something. I’m beginning to make some sense of what I am finding. I’ll keep you posted as I continue my research.

” I am a writer and as a writer, I do not neatly fit into any category. I have written magazine articles, feature news articles, restaurant reviews, a newspaper column, and several book length nonfiction projects aimed at people interested in particular health problems for foundations and companies. As to novels, I have published some Kindle novels.”
