I try not to bring my health problems into the blog, but you need to know why I am not posting. I was hurt while in the Army, for those who do not know my history. I survived Vietnam with no permanent physical injuries, but just before going to Vietnam was hurt in a training accident. I injured my spine and that prompted a condition called stenosis. That’s where the bone starts to grow and pinch off nerves. The injury was in the lumbar spine area. The nerves coming from the spine in that area control everything from the waist down.
The pain was controlled by opiates, but they are getting hard for a doctor to prescribe because of abuse, meaning I cannot rely upon them. The spinal cord stimulator worked well but must have a targeted area. I do not know why, but my pain will move. That requires redoing the software in the spinal cord stimulator. The spinal cord stimulator was made by Boston Scientific. That tech isn’t always available for the readjustment of this cord stimulator.
That’s a quick history for everybody. I will be able to stay in this chair much longer because of the pain. I wanted you to know why I’m not doing my blog.
