Revisiting day and night

Revisiting day and night

Sharing is caring!

Yesterday’s post about day length caught some people off guard. If you have only ever lived in the southern part of this country, you are used to seeing the sunrise and sunset in almost the same place every day. Here in the north this time of year, the sun rises as it is for this point north. I am sitting at this computer facing south. There is a large window facing east. For only three days a year, the sun shines on the computer screen early in the morning. In the evening, the sun sets fire to the northwest.

We watched the movement of the sun throughout the year. The sun rises in due east and sets in the due West on the solstices. This time of year, the sun is warm. However, it has no warmth in December, the shortest day of the year. Some say the sun is weak and almost milky looking at that time of year.

I promise to write about something different than our weather tomorrow.

” I am a writer and as a writer, I do not neatly fit into any category. I have written magazine articles, feature news articles, restaurant reviews, a newspaper column, and several book length nonfiction projects aimed at people interested in particular health problems for foundations and companies. As to novels, I have published some Kindle novels.”
