With all of the shootings and the number of people killed recently, what are the odds Congress will do something significant? I don’t think they are very good. Why? It is a matter of money. The money it takes to get reelected. I am sure there are members of Congress who would like to see some gun legislation passed, but they know if they vote for such a law, they will lose some of their funding. The only thing they fear more than that loss of funding is the loss of your vote. Let your members of Congress know how you feel about the need for common-sense laws. If someone is not yet 21 and they want an assault rifle, they can join the military. they won’t get an outdated weapon such as the AR 15, but a newer more sophisticated one. Better yet they won’t have to pay for it.
