I did my first mowing yesterday. I use a John Deere lawn tractor. Getting on and getting off the tractor requires someone to spot me. After that, I am good to go. It takes me two days and two tanks of gas to mow the area. This morning I started by putting a blueberry cobbler in the oven. It should be done in a little less than a half-hour. I am trying to get today’s blog done before it comes out.
The newest disease is Monkey Pox. It is an African disease rarely found outside the continent. It must be a relative of smallpox since the smallpox vaccine is effective. It appears there was a gathering in the Netherlands that started this outbreak. The primary victims have been gay men because of the need for close contact to spread the disease.
The other news is probably the result of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. President Biden said that no independent country should be taken over by force and that he would help defend Formosa. I agree we can’t let dictators take over countries anytime and for any reason they specify.
I am still working on the new novel that’s not yet named. I am trying to place the time in any part of the novel by referencing popular music. It uses my experiences heavily. I don’t have a timeline for when it might be done as I am still outlining the various chapters.
