I was surprised by how many people commented on my reply to the nurse. I didn’t think people would want to wade through technical details. There are also questions about other improvements I may have experienced. The spinal cord stimulator only deals with pain. I still have a left leg that isn’t totally functional, and on that leg, the foot has little feeling. I’ve lost some feeling in my right leg as well.
None of those things will improve. They say nerves regrow at the rate of a millimeter per year. So it would take many years to solve any of those problems. You probably can’t understand how much the spinal cord stimulator has improved my life. No matter how hard you try, the world doesn’t seem appealing when you are in pain.
I am working on finishing the novel the Darkhouse Lure. The novel is completed, but I have been going through it for mistakes. Next, I will send it to who will proofread it. No matter how hard I try, some mistake will always slip through, so I use a professional proofreader.
I will continue to work on the novel with the current title Love and other Disasters. It is a long-term project.
