Those people never existed

Those people never existed

Sharing is caring!

Today I am going for a half-day or more of medical tests. I forget sometimes that I just can’t get up and walk over and pour a cup of coffee. That will never change and the level of my disability will continue to increase.

Before I go this morning, I want to answer the question I posed about the four pictures posted. If you remember, there were two men to women and two children. None of the pictures portray a person who is either living or dead. They were made using artificial intelligence, AI, to generate what looks like real people. The photos I posted are all headshots, but I understand there is a version that will produce full-body images. Those images can be animated, but the cost to do so is prohibitive. They can even make the images speak. All this means you can not trust all you see. AI may have created the person and then given them a voice. Next time you see a politician or someone in the public arena walking and talking, they may be nothing more than a sophisticated artificial intelligence program creation.

By the way, you might want to try out the program. It’s on the website that won awards back in 2019. Its URL is https://thispersondoesnotexist.com/

” I am a writer and as a writer, I do not neatly fit into any category. I have written magazine articles, feature news articles, restaurant reviews, a newspaper column, and several book length nonfiction projects aimed at people interested in particular health problems for foundations and companies. As to novels, I have published some Kindle novels.”
