Work on the next novel

Sharing is caring!

There is no question about winter being in full force. It was -12°F or -11°C this morning when I got up.

I haven’t been updating you on the work on the novel Darkhouse Lure. It’s the story of two injured people falling in love while trying to untangle the murder of the school janitor. The woman is divorced, and because of pregnancy and its complications, she cannot have children. The man has suffered a life-changing injury in an auto accident. He is on leave from his job because of the accident. He is not sure if you will ever return to work at the same job. He’s unsure how he could support a wife. These two people are very much in love but tell themselves and each other they cannot marry.

I am working on editing the completed novel. I am strengthening their resolve to never marry. It’s obvious to the reader that they are very much in love. The mystery theme is well-established, and I only need to do a final check on that part of the novel. It takes two or three days at minimum to go through a chapter. There are 20 chapters, and I am working on chapter 6.

Besides that, I am working out an idea for the next novel. I am also getting ready for Christmas.

” I am a writer and as a writer, I do not neatly fit into any category. I have written magazine articles, feature news articles, restaurant reviews, a newspaper column, and several book length nonfiction projects aimed at people interested in particular health problems for foundations and companies. As to novels, I have published some Kindle novels.”
