Winter is on its way, even with the effects of climate warming. Our 10-day forecast is for highs in the 60s except today and again on the 10th of September. Those two days the temperature will be in the low 70s. We have had overnight lows in the 40s but no frost. That’s always occurred until very recently, no later than the middle of September. The first frost date seems to have been advanced approximately a week. Currently, it is 62°F with a humidity of 86%. I live at the eastern edge of the Prairie. Prairie is determined by the amount of rainfall which is lower than many other areas. Just about a hundred miles east of here, they get double the amount of rain we get. However, this year the entire northern half of Minnesota has been in extreme drought. I suspect that will continue through the winter as we only had one blizzard with a significant amount of snow last year. How does your weather compare with the past?
