I am looking at a publishing date for the newest Kindle book, For the Love of a Woman, in the middle of November. The text of the novel was submitted to Amazon Kindle in Word format. They convert that to their own internal file format. The cover is a picture and sent in yet another format. There is also a blurb that goes on the back of the book. You then have to set where you want the book to appear by country or language. You also have to tell Amazon that you have the rights to the book – in other words, you wrote it. You have to set the price and so on and so on.
I am not doing the website vcangell.com myself this time. I have another novel that fits the mystery/romance area in the final draft stage. I am working on that instead. I think my time is better spent there than programming the website. I have been so distracted by working on these novels that my wife asked me if I was okay last night because I seemed distant. I had to explain there is just too much going on in my head. I’ll have to make sure to take time just to be with her. That brings you up-to-date.
