Unexpected guest for Christmas

Unexpected guest for Christmas

Sharing is caring!

We had a stray cat appear last week. He seemed to be suffering from a cold as his nose was running. We already have two cats, so we had to keep him separated from them. He occupied one of our bathrooms. As you probably have gathered, we live in the country. It’s not a very safe place for cats as all sorts of wild critters view cats as food. We tried everything from merely asking our neighbors to putting him up on Facebook as a lost animal. When that failed, we asked the animal shelters, and all of them were full and could not take him. We wanted to get him a “forever” home, so we tried to make him more adoptable. We took him to the veterinarians yesterday to get all his shots and a physical. We had named him Lost Boy, LB, and he had a list of problems a mile long – ranging from severe dental issues to fleas. They had to trim the fur on his left side because of a problem. They were all impressed as we were by how friendly LB is. We will have to keep him for a while longer because he will need a booster shot for one of the vaccines he received in 3 to 4 weeks. He obviously can’t go back outside in a northern Minnesota winter with part of his fur gone on one side. It looks like we will have an unexpected guest for Christmas.

” I am a writer and as a writer, I do not neatly fit into any category. I have written magazine articles, feature news articles, restaurant reviews, a newspaper column, and several book length nonfiction projects aimed at people interested in particular health problems for foundations and companies. As to novels, I have published some Kindle novels.”
