Say goodbye to hummingbirds and say hello to Fall

Sharing is caring!

It seems that Fall is upon us. This morning’s forecasts for the week ahead is for most of those days to only have highs in the 60s. They added a quick note that there might be frosts because lows will be in the 30s. There are the sure signs of all trees turning. The poplars are turning, and so are the birches. The trees that look like evergreens, the larches, are also showing signs of the upcoming winter. The stubbornness of our trees to the change of seasons are the Red Oaks, but then they tend to hold onto their brown dead leaves until spring. There are little twiglets on the ground around them where squirrels harvesting their acorns have chewed them off the tree. The summer birds are beginning to disappear. Every Fall, I worry about the hummingbirds not leaving and having all the flowers destroyed by frost. One day they are gone, and I do not have to worry about them. It’s time to say hello to Fall.
