Revisiting the post “sex equals spammers”

Sharing is caring!

Do you remember last week I had a post titled “sex equals spammers?” It drew comments, but none of them had anything to do with the post. They were all from countries where English is not the first language. The reason I can tell that if I can find out their IP address. Here’s what my current IP address looks like 104.219.196.112. If I do a search using the Chrome browser, I would put into the search – Who is 104.219.196.112? The results tell me the address belongs to Paul Bunyan net in the USA. If you ever wondered where some of the strange ads you get are from, you can use this technique to see where they are.

It was clear that the people who responded to that post last week had read it. It could be because they were just searching for the word “sex,” or their command of English wasn’t good enough to read the article. I would have thought the title of the post would put off the spammers. I was wrong!

” I am a writer and as a writer, I do not neatly fit into any category. I have written magazine articles, feature news articles, restaurant reviews, a newspaper column, and several book length nonfiction projects aimed at people interested in particular health problems for foundations and companies. As to novels, I have published some Kindle novels.”
