Sex equals spammers

Sex equals spammers

Sharing is caring!

This blog was built using WordPress. It is a lot easier than doing HTML programming. Even if you have no computer experience, you could use WordPress to make any kind of site you want. You may have noticed that you can make comments about anything that I post. Your comment won’t appear unless I approved it. That is built into every WordPress theme. Its purpose is to keep the spammers out. On December 10, 2018, I posted a blog with the title “Sex in Writing.” This morning when I logged on, there were two people commenting on that blog and both were spammers. It’s that way almost every morning. Apparently, the word “sex” is what attracts them. Because I am writing fiction and many of the stories include couples, they are very likely to engage in intimate relations – sex. In the blog, I was trying to explain how I handle sex in my writing. It was basically about what I include and what I do not include when I describe the couples’ intimate relations.

I never thought this topic would attract spammers but would interest readers of my fiction. I have grown to love the fact that I have to approve all comments. The simple blog in question would be overgrown with idiotic comments. The reason that the spammers do it is if they appear on multiple sites, they will appear higher in any searches conducted on Google. So what they’re attempting to do is draw more people to their website. It’s been over a year since I posted the last blog with the word sex in the title. Let’s see if that word still draws spammers. Hence the title of this blog – sex equals spammers.

” I am a writer and as a writer, I do not neatly fit into any category. I have written magazine articles, feature news articles, restaurant reviews, a newspaper column, and several book length nonfiction projects aimed at people interested in particular health problems for foundations and companies. As to novels, I have published some Kindle novels.”
