We never get a physical description of Sam, Samantha. That is intentional. I want you to picture her as Billy does. To Billy, she is the most beautiful woman in the world, and their attraction was instantaneous and mutual. As I pointed out in the post yesterday, Florence brings Sam and Billy together. Florence questions Billy on Monday right after Billy and Sam have gone out on their first date. Here’s how Billy describes the date:
“I’ll tell you because it was great. There’s something special between us. We both realize the attraction is very strong and that we ought to slow down and not do something stupid. I dropped her off at home just before suppertime. I called her last night, and we set up another date,” Billy said.
Sam tells her mother, “Mom, he’s something very special. When he holds me, I just melt in his arms.”
I’m not giving anything away to tell you they get married and have children, but like all marriages, there are both good and bad times.
