Jill Larsen

Jill Larsen

Sharing is caring!

Jill Larsen is Billy’s second attempt at finding true love. Billy and Jill went to school together but never dated. It’s at a wedding they meet again and dance. Billy is fascinated by her, and in the novel, this occurs:

Billy found himself looking at Jill. She was wearing a lemon-colored dress that showed off her figure nicely. Her blonde hair was simply done and shoulder length.

Jill has blue eyes to go with her blonde hair and Scandinavian heritage. She and Billy date regularly. Everything is going smoothly. Billy assumes he is going to marry Jill. Then this scene and that happens:

Mrs. Larsen greeted him at the door and did not smile, “Billy, Jill has something to tell you. Let’s go sit down in the living room.” Once in the living room, Mrs. Larsen pointed at a chair and said, “Please sit there, Billy.”

Billy sat down and looked across the room at Jill, who was sitting and not looking up at him. He could tell there was something wrong but before he could ask Mrs. Larsen said, “Jill has something to tell you.”

Jill mumbled something that Billy didn’t understand, “What did you say, Jill?” He asked.

Jill did not look up but said, “I’m pregnant.”

            “How… We never,” Billy said.

Mrs. Larsen spoke before Jill could answer, “It’s not yours, Billy “

“Who? What? I don’t understand,” Billy said.

“I made a mess of things, Billy. It was an old boyfriend. It just happened. I didn’t mean for it to happen. I’m so sorry,” Jill looked up with tears running down her face.

Once again, Mrs. Larsen interrupted, “His name is Todd. He’s the son of one of my husband’s best friends. Todd and Jill dated a couple of years in high school before they moved away.”

I will tell you that Jill continues to play a role in Billy’s life throughout the novel. She even…… I guess I shouldn’t reveal that.

” I am a writer and as a writer, I do not neatly fit into any category. I have written magazine articles, feature news articles, restaurant reviews, a newspaper column, and several book length nonfiction projects aimed at people interested in particular health problems for foundations and companies. As to novels, I have published some Kindle novels.”
