Mental whiplash

Mental whiplash

Sharing is caring!

Why are they laughing?

I wanted to laugh, but maybe I should have cried at the latest contortions the politicians are going through. It’s the reaction to the release of testimony yesterday from the impeachment hearings. One of the persons who testified revised his testimony and said that there had been a deal for Ukraine to do something for the release of military aid. That is a quid pro quo. The legal people loved Latin terms, but it simply means I’ll do something for you if you will do something for me. I will admit the Latin is shorter. After weeks of saying there was no quid pro quo because it would be a crime, the politicians now say there was one – BUT! Don’t you love the way politicians have a way of changing their minds? The “but” is it’s not a crime after weeks of saying if there was a quid pro quo, it would be a crime. What!?! Are you suffering from mental whiplash? I know I am. Let’s face it, if the politicians say the sky is green instead of blue, we are expected to believe it even if we can look up and see that it’s still blue.

” I am a writer and as a writer, I do not neatly fit into any category. I have written magazine articles, feature news articles, restaurant reviews, a newspaper column, and several book length nonfiction projects aimed at people interested in particular health problems for foundations and companies. As to novels, I have published some Kindle novels.”
