Stop the deer jaywalkers!

Stop the deer jaywalkers!

Sharing is caring!

I had to make a trip for a medical test yesterday and the trip was approximately 200 miles round-trip. You see the deer crossing signs everywhere and if you are in Canada, you will see the moose crossing signs. Those signs are all good, but the deer pay absolutely no attention to them. They are true jaywalkers! They just crossed the road willy-nilly any place they want. They must think there’s a deer crosswalk asks almost any place, because like yesterday some of them will stop in the middle of the road and look at you like “You don’t want to hit me.” You have to slow down and then try to go around them. If you do that, they’ll change their mind and go back where they came from making a stop anyway. I’m sure they sit around and talk about how to screw with the humans driving cars. You can almost hear their conversations. Deer one, “I’ll stroll across the road and just as I get to the other side, you guys come out and wander across the road.” Deer two, “I got a better idea. I’ll hang back and just as he starts up to go again I’ll come up and cross the road.” I can just hear the whole herd of deer laughing. They must’ve had great fun this morning because it was foggy. I was getting a cup of coffee and looked out and saw a small herd come out of the fog and disappear in the fog like ghosts. I don’t know how many there were crossing the yard, but they would’ve made a great traffic stopper. We gotta start a campaign to get the deer to start observing the deer crossing signs. The Canadians probably want to do the same thing with their moose.
