Hidden danger continued

Hidden danger continued

Sharing is caring!

Yesterday, I wrote about the hidden dangers in writing and shared a story about the reaction of friend after reading a story I had written. Closer relationships often provide even trickier hidden dangers revolving around some of the smallest details. I have a friend who had written a seemingly innocuous comment made by a character about not liking a bedroom painted a particular color in one of her stories. Her and her husband’s bedroom was painted in the same color. Suddenly, her husband was suggesting they repaint their bedroom another color. It startled my friend because they had just repainted the bedroom. She began to question her husband why. He confessed that it was because of a character’s comment in a story she had written about not liking that color which prompted his suggestion they repaint the bedroom.

Do you want your imagination to go soaring? Think of how an intimate partner might look at your description of someone’s body, particularly if it’s not flattering. If you really want your imagination to soar, think about all the repercussions of writing a sex scene. These suggestions should keep you busy – grin.

” I am a writer and as a writer, I do not neatly fit into any category. I have written magazine articles, feature news articles, restaurant reviews, a newspaper column, and several book length nonfiction projects aimed at people interested in particular health problems for foundations and companies. As to novels, I have published some Kindle novels.”
