No regrets

Sharing is caring!

I have been asked if I regret having served in the military because it is led to my disability. It never occurred to me that I should have any regrets for serving. I remember growing up and knowing that my grandfather had been World War I, my father had been in World War II, and I knew there’d be some war for me to fight in and serve my country. I was just as sure of that as I was of growing up or getting married. There was a draft in place as I grew up, so I knew I would have to serve. I decided that I would volunteer for the Army because that gave me the ability to pick my job in the service. The draft was for two years, but I had to serve an additional year because I volunteered and picked my job. The other services required four years and you had no real choice of a job. No, I have no regrets for serving.

” I am a writer and as a writer, I do not neatly fit into any category. I have written magazine articles, feature news articles, restaurant reviews, a newspaper column, and several book length nonfiction projects aimed at people interested in particular health problems for foundations and companies. As to novels, I have published some Kindle novels.”
