The magic of forgiving love

The magic of forgiving love

Sharing is caring!

Bell Hooks said, “Only love can heal the wounds of the past.” For example, a good friend said or did something that hurt you. Over time your love for your friend will heal that wound. Oh, you might not know Bell Hooks. She was a feminist writer who died last December. While the saying can be applied to any relationship, I like to think of it in terms of a marriage, a successful long-term marriage.

The average turmoil of life can lead to unwanted and unexpected wounds. If you are married, I’m sure you can think of many instances of this being true. What keeps that marriage going is the love each partner has for the other. On this day of remembrance, you might want to find the love to forgive someone. Happy Memorial Day.

” I am a writer and as a writer, I do not neatly fit into any category. I have written magazine articles, feature news articles, restaurant reviews, a newspaper column, and several book length nonfiction projects aimed at people interested in particular health problems for foundations and companies. As to novels, I have published some Kindle novels.”
