Update on the SCS trial

Sharing is caring!

Update on the SCS tria. The pain I have had has been dramatically reduced. The bandage over the temporary implant of the SCS hardware had started to itch. Luckily it’s in the middle of my back, so I can’t scratch it. The itching kept me awake most of last night. I think I get through tonight and the next night with the itching.

Interestingly I know some of my movements must be causing pain because I can feel the SCS working. I thought it was something I was doing that was wrong. However, Brian, the Boston Scientific representative, told me it’s to be expected. Apparently, the device can sense when pain increases. Thanks to its artificial intelligence, it can react to take care of that pain. That was something I hadn’t expected. I hope my itching decreases. I’ll keep you up with the rest of the trial.
