First update on the spinal cord stimulator

Sharing is caring!

Time for the first update on the spinal cord stimulator, SCS. I woke up this morning with the usual lower back pain, but I used the remote control for the SCS and turned it up until I could feel it. I left it there for a while while I watched morning television news. I then turned it back down. When I came into my office, I realized the only pain I had was above the waist and probably from laying on my stomach to have the electrodes implanted along my spine. My shoulders hurt from that position.

I would say the SCS is working at this point. I don’t fully understand the SCS. It comes with a remote control device, and the remote is more complex than the usual TV remote control. There is still a lot I have to learn. Later today, the representative from Boston Scientific will call me. That should answer all my questions. I also have a little log book I must keep during the trial. I’ll keep you updated.

” I am a writer and as a writer, I do not neatly fit into any category. I have written magazine articles, feature news articles, restaurant reviews, a newspaper column, and several book length nonfiction projects aimed at people interested in particular health problems for foundations and companies. As to novels, I have published some Kindle novels.”
