There are times when I am writing that a character will say or do something that startles me. Here’s an example of that. There is a couple who seemed to be on the verge of falling in love. The man says to the woman, “I love you.” She answers him with a one-word question, “Why?” Think of it. If you had fallen in love with someone and told them that you love them, how would you answer their question, “Why?” Your answer better be good, or you could lose that person. Your answer better come quickly too. What would you say? The next question is, “Why would you give that answer?” You can reply in the comments below.
