Longest day of the year

Longest day of the year

Sharing is caring!

Today is not only the start of summer but the longest day of the year. Sunrise is at 5:20 AM, and sunset is at 9:20 PM. At 4 AM, you can tell the day is beginning, and it still twilight well after 10 PM. It means we have about 16 hours of daylight plus twilight. This is one of the prettiest times of the year. The trees are fully leafed out. The summer is just starting to show in the garden. Mama deer often brings her fawn. The fawns have already gotten to be good-sized and can easily leap over a barbed wire fence but still have their spots. If mama and her fawn are not around, it means there is a good likelihood mama bear, and her cub or cubs are around. Mama deer does not appreciate the company of mama bear. Lastly, we are about to settle into the routines of summer, cutting the grass, gardening, and perhaps, even a trip to the lake or river for fishing.

” I am a writer and as a writer, I do not neatly fit into any category. I have written magazine articles, feature news articles, restaurant reviews, a newspaper column, and several book length nonfiction projects aimed at people interested in particular health problems for foundations and companies. As to novels, I have published some Kindle novels.”
