I think you know that the critic of my posting the other day about physical characteristics disturbed me. It reminded me of criticism of a Langston Hughes’s poem. Langston Hughes was a black poet from the early part of the 20^th century. The phrase from the poem is “America has never been America to me” has often been misinterpreted. If you want to read the entire poem you will find they are wrong – here is the link – https://poets.org/poem/let-america-be-america-again  They criticized him for being a Black man whining, but you would have to be brain-dead to think that after reading the entire poem.
