Pin Cherry

I have been watching the trees leaf out. One of the very last trees to do that are the Red Oaks. They tend not to lose all of their leaves and still have some on all through the winter. The spring buds swell, and Red Oaks, with those leftovers of last season’s leaves, finally drop. Next, the flowers of the Red oak appear, followed by their leaves. At about the same time, the Pin Cherry trees are covered in tons of tiny white blossoms. These will be followed by small red fruit with a huge seed inside. They are very sour tasting, and some people make jellies out of them if they can beat the birds to them. All in all, spring will soon be gone with the arrival of summer.

” I am a writer and as a writer, I do not neatly fit into any category. I have written magazine articles, feature news articles, restaurant reviews, a newspaper column, and several book length nonfiction projects aimed at people interested in particular health problems for foundations and companies. As to novels, I have published some Kindle novels.”
