I received a great suggestion after I posted my piece about how we are all mutts. They suggested it might not be an individual ancestor, but there may be multiple Native American ancestors in my past. I did find there had been an Indian Agent when researching ancestors. However, they were not in my direct bloodline. The person in question was the son of a great great uncle. My surname, Angell, goes all the way back to the founding of our country. They may have others in my grandmother on my mother’s side of the family. They also extend back to at least the Revolutionary War. They have been very hard to research. I’ll keep searching and let you know what I find.
