Gift suggestions I received this morning

Sharing is caring!

Thanks to my email this morning, I have a question for you – how much would you pay for a two-slice toaster? My guess was somewhere between $20 and $30. I checked on Amazon, and all but one of the toasters that came up on my first try were in that range. The single exception was a Calphalon two-slice toaster at $50.99. I thought that had to be pretty much top online before seeing my emails this morning. This morning’s emails brought a suggestion list for Christmas gifts and pointed out a “Revolution Cooking two-slice Smart Toaster in brushed stainless steel for $299.99.” The mail suggested that you could buy it at Best Buy. I have to say the ad was not from Best Buy, but from a place that suggested Cool Gadgets. I saw other interesting things, such as a “Pepper Corer.” Its intended use seems to be for coring green peppers. It was at a more reasonable cost of only $7.99. Another thing I found that was interesting was a garlic slicer. I should say a battery-powered garlic slicer at $16 batteries not included. It appeared to me that all the gadgets were for use in the kitchen. There was one exception.

I guess it deserves a paragraph of its own. Here is its description, “$55 · The super-silent Frenchman is designed with a thin, flexible end to mimic oral stimulation. Its one-button design, four speeds and two pulsation modes make it easy to use.” I don’t think this belongs in the kitchen unless you are incredibly frustrated. I invented a term many years ago for these products – boyfriends with batteries. I hope you enjoyed the content of one of my emails this morning.
