I thought I would start by telling you how editing of the novel was going. I have four of the seventeen chapters ready to go. I’m finding some bizarre errors. I don’t know if I spoke poorly or the dictation program thought it heard something I didn’t say. The one that stopped me in my tracks was “Jim hired a can of beans.” It should have been, “Jim opened the can of beans.” The other thing that I’m doing is making sure the clues to solving the murder are included as I’m going along. One innocuous sentence points to the murderer, but it seems totally in place for other reasons.

I have started doing the marketing materials, but I’m stumped as to a title. One of the first marketing items I did was a two-sentence blurb you might see on the cover of the novel. It also serves as a way to catch the eyes of an editor. I have temporarily settled on these two lines, “Jim Waterman arrives back home run the family newspaper after his brother is murdered. As Jim works to solve the many problems a newspaper has these days in the world of the Internet and his brother’s murder, he falls in love.”

Going back to the title, I have thought of using this Swedish term Alla Saker Trä. Loosely translated, that is All Things Wood. Somehow, I don’t think it’s a good title.

” I am a writer and as a writer, I do not neatly fit into any category. I have written magazine articles, feature news articles, restaurant reviews, a newspaper column, and several book length nonfiction projects aimed at people interested in particular health problems for foundations and companies. As to novels, I have published some Kindle novels.”
