I am approaching the end of the first draft of the current novel. I think it will take me only another day or two to complete it. Then begins the tedious work of editing and rewriting weak points. I’m not sure how long that will take for this novel. It generally takes me at least a month. With the mystery novel like this one, it can take me longer to plant false clues and polish up the real clues. When I started the novel, I knew the killer was, but I was not sure how the killer would be found. I had to find a “plausible mistake” for the killer to make. I think I did. Anyway, it’s nice to know that I’m almost done with the first draft.
