Escape your worry bubble

Escape your worry bubble

Sharing is caring!

“Instead of worrying about what you cannot control, shift your energy to what you can create.” This was written by Roy T. Bennett. I think this is very appropriate with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. I see people trying to go on with their lives with all sorts of worries ranging from money to job security to relationships. They are frozen in a worry bubble. In reality, there is very little we can do about this particular virus. We can wear a mask, wash our hands frequently, avoid crowds, and so on. But our worries are still about the virus. Roy T. Bennett suggests we create something. What? How about going out in the garden and cutting flowers for a bouquet? How about trying out that new recipe you read about? How about creating enjoyment by doing something you enjoy doing? Why not look at many of the streaming services that are now around and just enjoying some entertainment? We need to get out of our worry bubble. It seems impossible because we let it be impossible. Forget it for a moment, think of what you can create. I mentioned a bouquet earlier. You could take that bouquet to someone and give it to them and share a moment of delight and beauty. Do anything to escape the worry bubble. Yesterday, I made some chocolate chip cookies. They had a great taste, but in terms of looking good, they were a flop. I beginning to think of how I can change that recipe and make it more successful. I have escaped my worry bubble. What’s your escape?

” I am a writer and as a writer, I do not neatly fit into any category. I have written magazine articles, feature news articles, restaurant reviews, a newspaper column, and several book length nonfiction projects aimed at people interested in particular health problems for foundations and companies. As to novels, I have published some Kindle novels.”
