Sharing is caring!
I received a few emails in response to my blog yesterday, “contracting world.” I actually find it’s easier to keep in email contact with friends that are located across the country for me or even on the other side of the world. I have thought about this phenomenon, and I believe people who close to you just aren’t used to communicating via email. It’s too easy to drop by to see them if you’re not disabled. It’s one more up the things you don’t realize you are not disabled. You do not realize your friend’s world has contracted and your life is too busy to realize a friend has gone “missing.” If somebody suddenly goes “missing,” please find out why.

I always fear, that as friends you don’t have another contact for your friend. i.e. I wouldn’t know if you went missing sick/accident etc. and couldn’t contact your wife to ask? It’s not always easy.
Electronic communication has a problem of not knowing if you’re even successful in contacting another person. You can send out an email, but you don’t know if it ever arrives or if it arrives if it is ever read. I got up early this morning and the Internet was down because they were doing some maintenance. It felt like I was cut off from the whole world!
