Ghost town of dormant trees

Ghost town of dormant trees

Sharing is caring!

The trees mostly lost their leaves. There are a few stragglers such as the barnyard poplars which are tenaciously hanging onto their leaves and then there are trees likely Red Oaks which won’t lose all of their leaves until next spring when new ones appear. It very much looks like the trees have gotten ready for Halloween and their costumes are those of skeletons. The light bark of the poplars and birches is reminiscent of bones adding to the effect. The scraggly Jack Pines look all the world like poor living in the ghost town. A long-forgotten building completes the scene. It is a desolate scene – not my favorite time of year.

” I am a writer and as a writer, I do not neatly fit into any category. I have written magazine articles, feature news articles, restaurant reviews, a newspaper column, and several book length nonfiction projects aimed at people interested in particular health problems for foundations and companies. As to novels, I have published some Kindle novels.”
